accessibility declaration for the app "Chemie im Alltag"


This accessibility declaration applies to the App "Chemie im Alltag", short CiA-App. The CiA-App is a product of the Federal and State Chemicals Information System, ChemInfo for short, with the office at the Federal Environment Agency.

As a public body within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we endeavor to make our website accessible. This is done in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Disability Equality Act (BGG) and the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102.


Compatibility status with the requirements

The accessibility requirements are set out in § 3 (1) to (4) and § 4 of BITV 2.0. BITV 2.0 was issued on the basis of § 12d BGG.

The review of compliance with the requirements is based on an external audit and assessment carried out in August 2023. Based on the test results and subsequent adjustments, the app is largely app is largely compatible with the aforementioned requirements.

The following barriers are known

  • The suggestions within the expanded list that is displayed while entering a term in the search field cannot be accessed using the screen reader. It is not possible for screen reader users to access the suggestions.
